Enjoy a close up animal encounter at North Georgia Zoo and Petting Farm. Bring your camera and your sense of adventure as you get ready to meet the exotic residents and animal ambassadors at one of Georgia's best loved wildlife venues.

Nestled at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, this amazing facility showcases more than 80 exotic species as well as miniature and rare breed farm animals. You'll have the best view in the house as you are taken behind the scenes, in the company of dedicated, passionate zookeepers.

Discover things you never knew about some of your favorite animals and find out about the hard work that goes into caring for them behind closed doors. Animal encounters will vary according to the time of year, however typical activities may include interaction with deer and kangaroos, handling birds of prey, close up work with bear cats and reptiles or even howling with the wolves!

Encounters are customized to suit the needs of your group and may vary according to availability of the animal and the age of your group.

Activities on the day may include interaction with kangaroos and deer, training and handling birds of prey, reptile encounter,  bearcat encounter, collecting African Crested Porcupine quills and wolf howl/calling session.
